Alderwood Smoked Sea Salt is also known as Pacific Smoked Sea Salt. This salt is cold smoked over Northwest Red Alderwood resulting in a clean smoke flavor. The use of this salt goes back hundreds of years and was originally used by Native Americans to smoke salmon. In addition to using it on salmon, this salt can also be used on various meats and poultry, poached fish, shrimp, creamy pasta (especially Fettucine!), roasted vegetables (baked potatoes in particular) , sandwiches and soups. You can also use it in specialty dishes like breakfast tacos and stuffed peppers. Try mxing it with a small amount of Hungry Gene's Salt Free Bar-B-Que Seasoning to make your own smoky barbeque sauce!
