This salt-free seasoning blend can be used for homemade black bean burgers, savory soups and stews, and specialty dishes like ropa vieja or pozole over rice.  It can also be used with tofu for vegan burgers and tacos. Stir it into grains like quinoa or barley, or toss over mushrooms and fry. Sprinkle over root vegetables and roast until golden brown. Use this hearty blend in beef- based recipes for a stick-to-your-ribs beef stew or chili or easily blend it into meatloaf. 


We recommend starting with one tablespoon of seasoning blend per pound of mixture (whether it's beans, mixed veggies, or meat).  Hungry Gene's Black Bean Burger Seasoning is flavorful without being overwhelming.  Experiment!  This blend is salt-free for those who are concerned about salt in-take. For those that want more salt, try adding Hungry Gene's Himalayan Pink Mineral Salt to taste.


Because this blend is salt free, you can use it a little more sparingly (than you would a blend with added salt) without sacrificing the flavor. Enjoy!
