This large leaf is bursting with flavor!  Its warm scent becomes very noticeable when the leaf is broken, releasing its fragrant oils. Its flavor is slightly bitter and highly aromatic. It is commonly used in soups, stews and sauces.  It can make foods with long cooking times quite flavorful. Just remember to remove the leaf from the food before serving.
